ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, TENURE TRACK

Applications are invited for a vacant tenure-track appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The start date is open but the candidate must take up the position no later than July 1, 2017. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in psychology (or be near completion of the degree in the case of Assistant Professor applicants). We are seeking an Industrial/Organizational psychologist whose main teaching, research and applied interests reside in core Personnel Psychology topics (e.g., recruitment, selection, job analysis, job performance). As well as meeting their teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate must have an ongoing research program in core Personnel Psychology topics (research record should be commensurate with experience level), be able to conduct and supervise graduate student research, contribute to the Department’s undergraduate programs, and collaborate with other department colleagues. Applied experience in Personnel Psychology also is highly desired to facilitate research and teaching in this area.

The successful applicant will join a 21-member Department, which includes two Canada Research Chairs in I/O Psychology. The Department has an applied focus with major and honours curriculum and offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in I/O Psychology and a certificate program in Human Resource Management. Department members also may participate in the CN Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, the Centre for Leadership Excellence, and the Science Faculty’s M.Sc. in Applied Science program.
