You will work on a Lord Alliance Funded project ‘Employee gentleness: An ethnographic study’ and you will be joining a team of three academic staff, two from Manchester Business School (Professor Holman, Professor McCann) and one the School of Nursing (Dr Nagington). Your core duties will include conducting two ethnographic studies of employee gentleness in care settings, qualitative data analysis and designing and running a small training programme on employee gentleness.  Central aims of the project are to develop the theory of employee gentleness, to understand the contexts in which employee gentleness can be fostered, and to develop and pilot an on-line training programme on employee gentleness to help practitioners learn about and reflect on their care giving.
MBS has a strong reputation for developing the careers of researchers and it is anticipated that you will play a key role in co-authoring research reports and associated papers for academic conferences and publications.
