The Faculty of Psychology invites applications for

Assistant Professor (W1) „Occupational Health Psychology“

starting 9/2012. The position is limited to 6 years pending positive evaluation after three years.

Research and teaching of the Assistant Professor shall relate to applied aspects of stress research among employees. This includes the assessment of work-related demands and resources and the analysis of negative and positive consequences of occupational stress. Teaching activities shall contribute to the bachelor program in business psychology.

Applicants should have profound theoretical and practical knowledge as well as research experience regarding occupational stress and its positive and negative consequences. Furthermore, applicants should have educational skills including high levels of motivation for teaching. This also implies readiness to teach in English.

International cooperation, interest in interdisciplinary cooperation and ability to attract research funding are a requirement as well as an excellent dissertation and proof of teaching skills.
